Ayurveda Dosha Assessment
Once you have had your initial Jyotisha session, it is time to heal any imbalances that are causing dis-ease in your system. Ayurveda is an ancient lifestyle practice which aims to create harmony within the body. Practiced widely in India, it works on the foundation that all life forms have a unique mix of the five main elements (space/ether, air, fire, water, and earth) that arrange themselves into the constitutions (called "doshas" in the ancient Sanskrit language) of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Your dosha determines the kind of lifestyle that is balancing and healthy for you, including the sorts of food you should eat and the amount and type of exercise in which you should participate for optimum wellness. It also reveals a great deal about an your personality, and when combined with Jyotisha, can be a powerful tool for mind-body healing.
In an Ayurvedic Dosha Assessment, I work with you to discover your primary dosha through a question and answer session in combination with your Jyotisha chart. I then educate you on your dosha and coach you in how to make the lifestyle changes that will help bring balance to your dosha. Ayurveda covers a variety of techniques, from detoxification, diet and herbal supplementation, to yoga, meditation and bodywork. All are personalized to suit your dosha and individual lifestyle needs.
